The PASTY OVEN is a dream come true!” It started with Gene’s Mother’s recipe; which was used to open a pasty shop near Iron Mountain in Quinnesec, MI. The Pasty Oven pasties’ popularity grew rapidly. The decision was made to build a USDA plant so our pasties (trademark) could be distributed throughout the world. The plant opened in 2000 and has grown. Pasty Oven Pasties can now be found in grocery stores, delis, food service providers and super centers throughout the Upper Midwest. Gene truly thanks his customers and his fantastic employees for making his dream come true! Pastys have remained in the region as a tradition and part of the heritage that makes this mining/lumber country so unique.
